On the evening of July 22nd, the participants of the conference will explore Vienna in a unique city adventure. The event is advertised with a short, humorous stage act in the morning featuring Johann Strauss, who has lost his “Waltz Spirit” – but will regain it with the help of the participants.💃🏻🕺🏻🥳

👉🏻 Meeting point is at 6pm in the Wimberger Hotel Lobby where the groups of 10 will embark on routes through the city. Each group visits:
• 2 culinary stations (main course & dessert) hosted by Viennese Scout groups.
• 2 typical viennese activity stations
The evening culminates at Stephansplatz where the city will be filled with music and dancing — a symbolic reconnection of Johann Strauss with the spirit of Vienna and a celebration of unity across borders.
Scouts and Guides from Vienna are volunteering at each station, providing local flair and warm hospitality.
Please make sure to stay together in your teams to get your dinner at the corresponding stations.

A night of discovery, delight – and a dash of Strauss!
Join us for a playful evening journey through Vienna: Explore the heart of the city centre in small groups, solve a mystery, and enjoy a taste of local culture along the way.
Vienna’s most famous son, Johann Strauss, is restless. Despite turning 200 this year, he refuses to retire unless you help him rediscover what makes Vienna so unforgettable. Follow the clues, meet historical characters, and bring harmony back to his waltz. How it works:
- Before the evening event, you’ll form groups of 8 to 10 people. Together, you’ll complete the route on foot and using Vienna’s excellent public transport.
- Please consider less mobile participants when forming your group.
- The route is self-guided and includes stations with small tasks, friendly helpers, and Viennese surprises.
- All groups will reunite for a special surprise at Vienna’s most iconic location – Stephansplatz. Let’s just say: it’ll be worth staying until the end.
- Dinner and dessert are included – no need to bring snacks, but please bring your refillable water bottle! Vienna has some of the world’s best drinking water – straight from the Alps and available for free at fountains throughout the city. Stay hydrated and sustainable!
