Vienna’s metro system, the U-Bahn, operates five lines that connect key districts and iconic landmarks, such as the Schönbrunn Palace and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The nearest U-Bahn station to Arcotel Wimberger is Urban-Loritz-Platz , just a 3 min walk away. Urban-Loritz-Platz and the nearly located stop Stadthalle connect you via several metro, tramway and bus lines with the rest of the city.More info on public transport in Vienna in general can be found here.

Metro stations of interest:

  • Museumsquartier: In the heart of Vienna’s cultural district, Museumsquartier station is your gateway to world-renowned museums, including the Leopold Museum and the Museum of Modern Art (MUMOK). The area is also filled with cafes, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy Vienna’s vibrant arts scene.

To explore beyond Vienna, Austria’s train network connects the capital city to key destinations, including Salzburg, Innsbruck, and Graz. Vienna’s main train station, Wien Hauptbahnhof, is located about 4 kilometres from the city centre.
