About the event
Youth Leading Europe is an optional event open to participants under 30 years old attending the WAGGGS Europe Regional Conference 2025. The event aims to support all youth participants regardless of experience to feel actively involved and able to meaningfully participate in the 18 European Guide Conference 2025.
Participants will be invited to:
- An online meeting on June 28th
- An in-person event on July 20th for attendees who will be in Vienna
- A dedicated campfire group for the European Guide Conference youth attendees
Dates
Saturday 28 June / 11:00 – 13:00 CEST: Online event for participants joining the EGC online on Sunday.
Sunday 20 July / 15:00 – 18:00 CEST: In-person event for participants attending the EGC in Vienna.
Why this event is important
Through Youth Leading Europe, participants will learn about:
- essential and practical terminology &
- procedures used in WAGGGS Governance
- prepare to participate in program parts of the EGC
- engaging meaningfully in decision-making
- meet fellow attendees and build connections
- plan their leadership journey as conference attendees.

Who can register to participate
We are inviting attendees who fit the following profile to join our youth event:
Age
Aged under 30 on July 20th, 2025
Participation type
Will be attending WAGGGS EGC 2025 either in-person or online
Experience
Have never attended a WAGGGS conference or who have limited experience of WAGGGS conferences
Capacity Building
Wish to build on their knowledge of WAGGGS governance, procedure and conference etiquette
Networking
Interested in creating networks and connecting with other attendees prior to the conference
